Some ultra-right Republicans closest to Trump question his mental stability

In a recent appearance on MSNBC, journalist Jonathan Karl discussed concerns about former President Donald Trump’s mental health, particularly in the context of his potential return to the White House in 2025. Karl mentioned that it is individuals who were close to Trump who have raised questions about his mental state.

According to Karl, “People who have raised questions about whether or not he’s fully there mentally have been the people closest to him.” He emphasized that those who have sounded the alarm about the potential consequences of Trump’s return are individuals who have had a close association with the former president.

Karl, the author of the book “Front Row at the Trump Show,” also pointed out that Trump’s actions and inactions on January 6, 2021, during the Capitol riot, had led to serious concerns about his ability to govern effectively.

While former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and former Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin have denied such claims, Karl mentioned that there is sworn testimony confirming the existence of conversations about Trump’s mental state within his inner circle.

However, Karl noted that these concerns didn’t lead to concrete actions, and as members of Trump’s cabinet began to resign, there were fewer individuals who would have supported any moves against him.

Trump’s behavior since he seriously entered politics in 2015 has been bizarre, to say the least. If there’s something seriously wrong with him mentally, will we ever know? Wackiness is the norm for him.
