Mental acuity: Trump’s speech flubs on display again (VIDEO)

“Failed former president Donald Trump suffering another series of scary cognitive events,” described David Pakman on his famed podcast.

And it was scary, indeed. Trump’s recent speech in Schnecksville, PA was full of verbal flubs. Pakman even pointed to an audience member who winced in shock after Trump mumbled incoherently.

No wonder Trump is trying to fool the public about President Biden’s level of mental clarity. Perhaps he’s trying to deflect from his own issues.

Trump, who may be suffering from sundowning, seems to struggle most at night to coherently speak. Per Mayo Clinic, sundowning is a state of confusion that occurs in the late afternoon and lasts into the night. Sundowning can cause various behaviors, such as confusion, anxiety, aggression or ignoring directions. Sundowning also can lead to pacing or wandering. But, Sundowning isn’t a disease. It’s a group of symptoms that occurs late in the day and particularly at night. These symptoms may affect people with Alzheimer’s disease and other types of dementia. The exact cause of sundowning is not known.

Key concerns also include alterations in Trump’s speech, such as paraphasia—characterized by word substitutions and the use of nonsensical words—as well as a noticeable decline in his cognitive focus. This decline is evidenced by his struggles to maintain coherence in speech without the aid of a teleprompter and his frequent verbal outbursts, which suggest a degree of disinhibition.
