45-CENT TICKETS: And the Panthers’ stadium was still empty

This is bad. Really, really bad.

The lack of enthusiasm from Carolina Panthers (2-12) fans has reached a point where even ticket prices as low as under a dollar fail to entice them to attend games.

This disinterest speaks volumes about their current level of engagement and raises questions about the team’s ability to captivate its fan base. Moreover, will the Carolina area, home to the Panthers since 1995, be able to sustain an NFL franchise for the long run?

The incredible deals on offer might lead one to believe that a large number of fans would eagerly take advantage, purely driven by the irresistibly low prices.

Not the case.

Panthers fans showed little enthusiasm when it came to filling up the seats at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte.

The lack of demand was so drastic that ticket prices dropped significantly, with some reaching as low as $0. 45 just days before the game.

It was rumored that only 5,000 fans were on hand to see the Panthers beat the Atlanta Falcons at Bank of America Stadium, which has a capacity of about 75,000.

Yes – They actually won yesterday.

With high hopes of turning the tide and reclaiming their championship status, the team made a bold move by selecting Bryce Young as their number one pick in the 2023 NFL Draft. Fans eagerly anticipated a triumphant comeback, but to everyone’s dismay, this season has taken an unexpected turn for the worse.

The team’s performance has fallen drastically compared to their 7-10 record from last year. As they prepared to face off against the Atlanta Falcons Sunday, who hold a respectable 6-7 record, the Panthers sported a league-worst 1-12 record.

According to Atlanta Journal-Constitution reporter D. Orlando Ledbetter, the stadium was disappointingly empty a mere 10 minutes before the kickoff. What made this situation even more disheartening was the fact that it was “Friends & Family Day.”
